Kalbarri - Day 19

For all those that have asked, yep we were in Geraldton when the boat load "snuck in !!", we were at the port and we, like all the authorities didn't see the boat!!  What a bummer, would have been a sight to see but kind of glad we didn't too.  Still laughing that they were aiming for New Zealand - way off fellas!  Most of the locals & those on holiday from Geraldton & Perth have very strong views on the matter.  We had a lazy day today, we walked into the local shops and had a paddle in the water at the beach, even Dan ventured in the water, Bentley onto the sand but not in the water, we had to splash water on him from the beach shower to cool him down - he was not impressed- his hair went curly! Hehehe, like me in the humidity!  Bentley is exhausted by the end of the day and also sleeps while we are in the pool too.  Fletcher found some bargains in the book nook, a great little shop full of books, internet access and snacks & drinks fridge.  Fletcher spent ages in there and came out with 3 books, spending his own money and he was thrilled with his choices, he hasn't stopped reading.  We walked back and went swimming, another hot but a little overcast day, so much so we expected a storm about 4ish but its 10.30 and still nothing.  We have tried to swim each day, Dan & I both go in too, today I borrowed Fletchers goggles to go underwater to try take some reasonable shots as I normally try open my eyes and adjust to try see the camera and take a photo- all within 2 seconds.   Well Fletcher thought this was fantastic and Dan had not long got out and was outside of the pool enclosure with Bentley so Fletch yelled "dad look mum is going under water"  I'm not exaggerating that there was at least 20 if not more in the pool area who all stopped and watched red faced mum go under water, I'm good at embarrassing myself I don't need my kids help.  We spent the afternoon a bit lazy too with a nanna nap, a dvd, some clothes washing and packing up chairs, tables & the awning- for the storm that never came.  We went out to red bluff to try catch another great sunset but because it was overcast it was nothing like last night.  A late night walk for us saw a heap of kangaroos jumping around the caravan park, such a sight to see, they really seem to be use to human interaction as they just stand and stare until you get quite close.  It doesn't matter how old you are its still pretty exciting to see something like that especially somewhere you wouldn't expect.

Dans proof that he was in the water!
Fletch couldn't wait to get back to the van to read his books
