Mackenzie : Today we drove from Kununurra to Lake Argyle. In the morning we went to the market and for breakfast I had eggs on toast it was yum, after that we drove to Lake Argyle. When we got there we setup the caravan quickly because it was so hot, then we went to the pool and I met this girl and her name was Charlotte she is nice. When we look over the pool you see mountains, they are beautiful, we stayed there for ages. When we got out we went back to the caravan and had a rest and had a look around and there was a wedding on and we watched it all and were there for the bit when they said you may kiss the bride. Mum was crying a bit and we didn't even know them. We went to the office and had a look and we staid there over dinner and a man was singing songs all night, I loved it. When we got back to the caravan we had soup.
The bride, Jodi and her dad, she had 3 bridesmaids
Me under Jack and Jodi's wedding arch, they had finished getting married and were watching me but they didn't mind at all, the leaves on the arch are real but the flowers aren't.
Fletcher : Today we left Kununurra to Lake Argyle, but first we went to a market, I bought a sausage from a sausage sizzle stall, it was yum. Then we drove to Lake Argyle. When we got there we set up the van then a big ford f truck pulled in it looks like a train towing a train carriage that's how big it was. My mum and dad talked to the owners of it they said they got it second hand then they got the van second hand too. After a long chat we finally went to the pool, it was cold but it was awesome, it had the bestest view of the river and they made it overflow so it made it all look like the river. Later on in the day we went over to the restaurant and a man named Steve Case was playing, he played amazing songs and had a great voice we bought all his cd's. There was a wedding on I didn't go but my sister did. Steve sang a song from our production called the way you make me feel from Michael Jackson.
the best pool ever

I will do my best as this is now 4 days ago!! We went to Kununurra market before we left this morning. We packed up early and towed the van there, it was small but great stalls, it was in the park, there was even a hairdresser, a stall waxing eyebrows, lots of food and soaps and art work. We had a lovely time and then headed to Lake Argyle. It wasn't far to go so we were there and set up by lunch. Which was great timing because the managers daughter was getting married on the cliff top next to the pool so they were going to close the pool for an hour while they said their vows and this was prime swimming time for the kids so we made a promise to go in again after the ceremony!! They said we were welcome to go watch so Mackenzie was beside herself and so her outfit planning began! I assured her shorts and a t shirt were fine. A romantic at heart she just wanted to see the" kiss the bride " bit so we watched the whole thing and yes I cried a little when the bride got out of the car and her dad squeezed her hand and kissed her on the head, wonder where Mack gets it from?? Anyway the POOL!!! Do you know what an infinity pool is? This thing is amazing, it is in the top 5 pools in Australia. I'm sure it would be on their website so have a look, an infinity pool is when the pool looks like it goes forever like it was part of the lake. The water laps over the top of the wall and when you sit in it you look like you are in the lake, amazing, amazing, amazing! Thank goodness for digital camera, I have more photos of this pool than I have of my kids as new borns! So we sat in it through lunchtime and into the afternoon, remembering that we were losing a precious hour of the kids swimming time! We went back to the van to get changed and have a quick lunch and went and waited for the wedding. She looked beautiful, she arrived in big Toyota 4wds with the grounds keepers at the park dressed in uniform driving them for her. The view was just stunning, I can't imagine a nicer venue than that, hot, really hot but we all know someone who got married on a real hot day on a river bank too. We went back to the pool for a while and then over to the outside beer garden to listen to the guy singing. He was brilliant, a guy from Wagga called Steve Case, travelling Australia doing what he loves, I'm guessing he will be in the charts one day for sure, he writes his own material and we all really enjoyed listening and were disappointed when he finished. By now it was past tea time but after a late lunch we were only just getting hungry so soup and toast filled the late night spot.
The promised photo of chicken treat -out of the car window, if it needs grills on the windows like that, I wasn't getting out of the car!
